Sharon and her late husband, Rick Gilbert, had been SkyMed Members for years when the unexpected happened. Read on for her story—we’re happy to say it has a very good ending—and we’re grateful to have been able to work with her and Dan Zile to ensure their SkyMed Memberships were precisely what they needed when they needed it!
“Rick and I had moved to Florida to begin our retirement of travel and simple living. When, just weeks later, my husband of 43 years died suddenly, my world crashed. New to Florida, I was dependent on my new neighbors to help me find my way in a life I did not choose. One of them mentioned that I should call SkyMed about my Membership. As RV caravan leaders, Rick and I were several years into a SkyMed Membership, but I really knew little about all its benefits.
“And yet, with one phone call, our family Membership was converted to an individual Membership, creating a Membership extension of several years.
“Another of my Florida neighbors introduced me to Dan, and as we became acquainted, I learned that he and his late wife were frequent travelers and longtime SkyMed Members. He had also experienced the same SkyMed Membership conversion and extension.
“A year later, Dan and I married and looked forward to a life of togetherness that included travel from Florida to our home states and lots of bucket list places in the US and Canada. Again, a call to SkyMed combined our individual Memberships into a Family Membership. What’s more—the rate was calculated on Dan’s initial 2005 rate!
“Sadly, Dan and I have had other occasions to call SkyMed, and in each circumstance, SkyMed has exceeded our expectations. Whether we are traveling or at home, SkyMed brings us peace of mind. We know that SkyMed does the right thing every single time!”
How did you find out about SkyMed?
Sharon and Rick Gilbert became SkyMed Members after a presentation at Adventure Caravans Rally in Texas in 2014; Dan and Beth Zile signed up for their Membership during an Airstream rally at Bill Thomas Camper Sales in Missouri. Dan and Sharon Zile are currently Airstreamers and have a home at Travelers Rest RV Resort and Golf Course in Dade City, Florida.
SkyMed guarantees a Member’s fees are LOCKED FOR LIFE when they renew their Membership subscription on time. And there’s more: As Sharon and Dan found out when their respective spouses passed, SkyMed extends the Membership to the surviving spouse Member to a value of the remaining and unused term of the deceased’s Membership. It’s all in your Membership Service Agreement—with SkyMed, you can always read the fine print!
