“After 60 days of travel just outside of Twin Falls, ID, I experienced a motorcycle accident,” recalls Burt Hamm. “I was riding from Vancouver, WA to Fruita, CO on my 2001 Honda Gold Wing with a trailer and had just turned off the highway toward Twin Falls, Idaho when the bike went one way, and I went the other. After three hours, I woke up in a hospital bed in Magic Valley Hospital in Twin Falls.

This was the beginning of a nine-week battle to recover. I called SkyMed. My mishap was made a lot easier with SkyMed ‘s help. SkyMed arranged a medical escort to fly with me to a rehab center in Eau Claire, WI. SkyMed also shipped my motorcycle and flew my daughter, Jennifer, out to be with me. SkyMed did just what they said they would and more.”

How did you find out about SkyMed and why did you choose SkyMed? “I attended a lunch meeting at Sundance 1 RV Park in Casa Grande, AZ and became a SkyMed Member.”

What would you tell your friends about your experience with SkyMed? “You normally find what you look for. I will tell anyone who will listen about SkyMed’s services and how SkyMed helped me. If you travel anywhere, you should be protected by SkyMed.

Do you have any tips to share on ‘how to’ survive a life challenge? “Try to stay calm, stupid will only make things worse, make plans before things go sideways. Stop and look at the big picture, things rarely are as bad as we imagine. Deal with what is, not what could be.”
