Harold & Donna Hintze

“We were on our way to Alaska in our new motorhome. Harold ended up with a fever five nights in a row, so I took him to the hospital in Kalispell, Montana. There they discovered he had pancreatitis. The doctor said it would take more than five days to get well, so we would have to cancel our trip altogether,” says Donna Hintze says of their fateful experience.

“I called SkyMed’s office and worked with a very nice customer service person. He assured me that SkyMed was able to handle the situation. He made arrangements to have our friend fly to Kalispell, drive our brand-new motorhome back to Rochester, Minnesota area, and fly him back to his home after it was all delivered safely.

“We were allowed to fly back to Minnesota and go to Harold’s doctor that he trusted would help treat his pancreatitis. The SkyMed rep made ALL the arrangements for all this with no hesitation. At one point, he said, ‘Donna, you take care of Harold, and we will take care of the rest.’ That gave me much comfort during this very stressful time in our lives. The SkyMed member services rep made all the flight arrangements necessary for us to be taken to the airport, even from the hospital, so that we could catch the plane at the right time.

“The arrangements more than met our expectations. When going through this very emotional time, it is so comforting to know that SkyMed was there to follow through with all their promises and did it completely. SkyMed doesn’t just promise they will take care of you: they do it completely without hesitation.”

How did you find out about SkyMed, and why did you choose SkyMed?

“We were just starting on our adventure as full-time RVers. Mr. Stan Schwenke was in Texas putting on lunches representing SkyMed, and we attended one of these sessions together. Later, Mr. Schwenke came to our RV and further explained how SkyMed worked and would help us if we ever had a need. He is a very personable SkyMed representative, and we felt we could trust him. One never knows when they might have a need and you don’t want to wait until you are there to make that kind of decision.”

What would you tell your friends about your experience with SkyMed?

“We tell everybody that we know about the great company. Most importantly, they were there for us when we really needed the help to make all the arrangements and make things happen in a timely way. That means so much when going through such a stressful time and it is one less thing one has to worry about. IT’S A BIG THING NOT TO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ARRANGEMENTS!”
