On February 13, 2017, my husband, Burt, suffered a heart attack in our RV in Yuma, Arizona. A 911 call was made & he was transported by ambulance to the local hospital where he underwent immediate bypass surgery. There were many complications but finally, after he was stabilized, SkyMed flew us both home by air ambulance to Saint John, New Brunswick to our local hospital.
We first learned about SkyMed in a Winnebago Travelers magazine in 2009 and have been SkyMed members ever since. We have been attending the annual SkyMed Appreciation Luncheons in Yuma, Arizona where we get to hear other members tell us about their experiences with SkyMed. From these meetings, we felt very confident that SkyMed would “take us home” if the need arose and sure enough, it did, and SkyMed did! Our RV was also returned home later, safe & sound, at no expense to us.
We’ve been telling our friends to get SkyMed for years. Now we speak from firsthand experience and cannot say enough good things about how we were treated by SkyMed and all their staff. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to express our gratitude for all you have done for our family. Knowing everything was being looked after by SkyMed certainly reduced our stress level when we most needed it.
