Big cities are great for all ages but are especially fun for older children, who can take in a Broadway play or the premiere of a new movie. No matter their age, though, kids can’t resist an overnight stay at a hotel. These days, however, they’ll need more than a pool to keep them happy, so look for those that offer a range of activities for all ages, including tennis lessons, all the latest gadgets, and even acrobat training! Another option: a stay at a dude ranch, definitely fodder for great “what I did this summer” essays when school starts up.
